Consultations

Consultation sessions help parent and school teams better understand a child’s cognitive, academic, language, and executive function profile and how that profile fits into learning in a school environment. We work with you to guide next steps in building an optimal learning environment both at school and at home.

Consultative services include:

• dialogue regarding your child’s strengths, weaknesses, and your goals

• review of evaluative reports, treatment plans, and Individualized Education Plans

• communication with classroom teachers, tutors, and/or therapists

• review of progress over time based on evaluation and school documentation

• guidance for parents and professionals to determine next steps for evaluative or therapeutic services

• suggestions for appropriate accommodations, classroom and/or therapeutic objectives
