Dr. Lorraine Simon, PhD | Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Simon attended the University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate studies in psychology and she earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Fordham University in New York. Prior to working at the Lab School of Washington, Dr. Simon worked with children and families in schools, community mental health clinics and in-patient settings. She also spent time conducting research and psychotherapy at an autism and Asperger’s research center at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Dr. Simon has experience working with children with learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, depression and social challenges.

 



​Dr. Simon has been a licensed clinical psychologist at the Lab School of Washington since the fall of 2001. She specializes in working with children and adolescents in group and individual psychotherapy. Areas of interest include cognitive behavioral therapy, social skills training and psychoeducational testing with children and adults.
