Kathleen Pyne, OTR/L | Occupational Therapist

Kathleen (Kathy) Pyne, OTR/L graduated from VCU/MCV in 1990 with a degree in occupational therapy. Since then she has worked with children, adolescents, and adults.  Kathy has worked in many settings including schools, clinics, Most of her work has focused on children with learning disabilities, but she also works with children with developmental disabilities, ADHD, autism, head injury, and cerebral palsy.  Her goal is to help her clients find resonance as they explore new territory in their development.  She aims to help her clients gain greater ease, joy, participation, and satisfaction in daily life.   She partners with teachers, other therapists, and caregivers to problem solve strategies toward this goal that can be incorporated across settings.  Special areas of interest include sensory and emotional regulation, movement-based treatment, and creative arts therapies.   Kathy is certified in administering the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) and in Sensory Integration Theory and Treatment.
