Jessica Kwerel, LPC, LCPC | Professional Counselor
Jessica Kwerel, LPC, LCPC, is a licensed professional counselor in the District of Columbia and Maryland. She holds a BA from Mary Washington College (now University of Mary Washington), a MS in Counseling from the University of Wyoming, and is a National Board Certified Counselor. Prior to starting at the Lab School in 2022, Jessica was the school counselor at Aidan Montessori School in Washington, DC for 13 years. She has a background in community mental health, outdoor education, and coaching high school crew. She also has a private practice in Washington, DC.
Jessica specializes in working with pre-adolescents and adolescents in individual therapy in the areas of anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, and grief and loss. Her clinical approach to therapy includes cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and strength-based interventions.
