Jo-Anne Hersh, MS, LICSW | Clinical Social Worker

Jo-Anne is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the District of Columbia and Virginia. She attended the University of Cincinnati obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Columbia University’s School of Social Work earning a Master’s in Science.

Jo-Anne participated in a year-long post graduate seminar in Family Therapy at SUNY Upstate Medical College.

Jo-Anne was a Professor at a Community College within the State University of New York where she both taught and provided clinical services in the college’s Counseling Center. She has nine years of clinical experience working in public schools and served five years as a hospital credentialed clinician with the Department of Defense in Adult Behavioral Health and Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health departments. In providing clinical services at the Lab School since 2022, Jo-Anne prioritizes skill building interventions such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Social Skills Development. Her work reflects an appreciation for the diverse background of our students and families which was gleaned from her employment at multiple worldwide locations.
