Mary Jo Coiro, PhD, ABPP | Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Coiro is a licensed and board certified psychologist who earned her undergraduate degree at the College of William and Mary, Master’s degree in Human Development at Bryn Mawr College, and PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Virginia. Prior to joining the Reservoir Group this year, Dr. Coiro was on the faculty at Loyola University Maryland for 16 years, where she was the director of the doctoral program in clinical psychology and taught graduate and undergraduate classes. She also maintained a private practice in Baltimore focusing on psychoeducational evaluations of children and adolescents.
Dr. Coiro’s clinical interests focus on the assessment and diagnosis of learning disorders and ADHD, treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, and teaching children and adolescents effective coping and emotion regulation strategies. She also enjoys working with parents to help them learn effective ways to communicate with and teach their children. She is looking forward to working with students and parents at the Lab School.
